1979, November 29 – Letter from David Miller of Australia

29 Nov. ’79

Dear Syd,

Thanks for your letter.

I’ve sent you separately the latest two issues of “On Liberty.” I haven’t as yet written anything for the magazine.

A close friend of mine, Helene Brophy, will be in London in December. I’ve asked her to contact you. She has addressed the Existentialist Society on a number of occasions over the years on feminist, psychological, and sexual subjects. Her only connection with the libertarians is that she attended one of our first Libertarian Dinners.

The Secular Society of Victoria has disbanded. Nigel Sinnott was no longer willing to carry the secretarial burden alone, and could find no volunteers. Secondly, the S.S.V. was set up to be an activist pressure group, and they didn’t just want to drift along.

David Tribe comes down from Sydney to see Nigel every now and again.

Yours,
David
